The Army Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program is a quality-of-life program that directly supports readiness by providing a variety of community, Soldier, and Family support activities and services. MWR offers worldwide support through a comprehensive network of programs and services at each installation-from Family, Child and youth programs to recreation, sports, entertainment, travel and leisure activities. The mission of MWR is to serve the needs, interests, and responsibilities of all people in the Army community-Soldiers, their Families, civilian employees, military retirees, and other eligible participants-for as long as they are associated with the Army, no matter where they are located.

Training and Benefits

Family and MWR offers competitive salaries and benefit packages, for part-time and full-time positions, that include medical, dental and life insurance. Comprehensive retirement and 401(k) plans are available and the organization will match your monthly contributions up to three percent. There are also multiple ways to move upward in Family and MWR through training opportunities and developmental assignments. Additionally, as a DoD ID card holder you would have access to numerous fitness, sports, and aquatics facilities, lodging, libraries, leisure travel, event venues, child and youth services, outdoor recreation equipment rentals, and many special events and programs throughout the year.

Automotive Skills Center

The Automotive Skills Center is located at 11120 Iraqi Freedom Drive.

Positions may include Automotive Worker NA-08. Responsibilities may include assisting customers with working on their vehicles, booking bay rentals, inspections, automotive classes, car wash support, general cleaning and repairs, towing and lockout services, alignments, and tire services.

Robert C. McEwen Library

The Robert C. McEwen Library is located at 4300 Camp Hale Road.

Positions may include Library Technician NF-03/02, IT Specialist NF-03, and Supervisory Library Technician NF-03. Responsibilities may include assisting customers with their various resource needs, circulation desk, library classes and programs that support educational advancement, military reference and research, and leisure activities

Outdoor Recreation

Outdoor Recreation is located at 11115 Iraqi Freedom Drive.

Positions may include Recreation Assistant NF-02 and General Equipment Maintenance NA-08. Responsibilities may include assisting customers with reservations, equipment check-in and check-out, rental equipment repairs, general cleaning and up-keep, outdoor programs and event planning and execution, ticket sales, recreational shooting complex support, and other community event support.

Remington Park

Remington Park is located at 11430 Pech River Road.

Positions may include Recreation Assistant NF-02, Laborer NA-04, and Custodial Worker NA-02. Responsibilities may include booking reservations and coordinating events and rentals, general cleaning, up-keep, maintenance, repair, and grounds keeping for Remington Park, Lodges, RV Park, Recreational Lodging.

Sports, Fitness, & Aquatics

Positions may include Sports Assistant NF-03/02, Sports Specialist NF-03, Recreation Assistant NF-03/02 for Facility, Fitness, Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, Equipment Specialist NF-03, and Assistant Facility Manager NF-03. These positions support Sports Programs, Fitness Programs, the Aquatics Programs, and the Atkins Functional Fitness Facility (4325 Conway Road), Magrath Sports Complex and Pool (10050 Tigris River Valley Drive), and Monti Physical Fitness Center facilities. Responsibilities could include customer support and check-in, general facility cleaning, a variety of sports, fitness, and aquatics programming, classes, and events.

Pine Plains Bowling Center

The Pine Plains Bowling Center is located at 4320 Conway Road.

Positions may include Food and Beverage Attendant NA-02. Responsibilities may include serving as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge, assuring that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned, accepting food orders from patrons and serves alcoholic beverages.

Child and Youth Services

Positions may include Cook NA-06, Child and Youth Program Assistant CY-01/02, Sports Specialist NF-03, Supervisory Program Specialist NF-03, and CYA Program Associate Instructor NF-03. These positions support Child and Youth Services and the Child Development Centers (South Riva Ridge CDC, Memorial CDC, Po Valley CDC, Chapel Drive CDC), School Age CenterYouth Center and Youth Programs and Youth Sports and Fitness Programs
