Automotive Skills offers short classes designed to help you understand and maintain your vehicle with confidence.
Classes Cover:
- Oil changes
- Basic car care and maintenance
- Pre-trip inspections
- Brake system basics
Orientation Class
Before using the self-help areas of the Automotive Skills Center, customers must complete a mandatory Orientation and Safety Class (no appointment needed for the class).
Orientation classes are free and are held:

Please call come into the center to sign-up for the class, the day-of. This orientation class is open to ID card holders only and is required for ages 14 and up, even for those wishing to assist with a parent or guardian. The class will introduce you to Auto Skills and how it operates, as well as required safety rules.
Required Safety Class
All customers must complete a safety class before using the shop. This class covers:
- Proper tool and equipment use
- Shop rules and expectations
- Safe handling of materials
After completion, you may receive a qualification card that can be used at other Automotive Skills locations.
