Youth Center 6th Grade Transition

Youth who will be entering 6th grade this coming school year are invited, with their parents, to an orientation program at the Youth Center! This program is intended to provide 5th graders an opportunity to transition and adjust from the School Age Center to the middle school programs offered at the Youth Center.

The transition program at the Youth Center for upcoming 6th grade youth will begin on Tuesday, August 27 at 5 pm with an orientation. Both parents and youth are encouraged to participate in this 30-minute program. A make-up orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 28 at 5 pm.

To provide an opportunity for youth to get familiar with our program prior to the first day of school, youth who have participated in one of the orientation sessions are permitted to participate in limited activities at the Youth Center. School Age Center staff will assist with the transition program to help 6th grade members adjust to the middle school program at the Youth Center.

Limited Programming Week 1:
Thursday, August 29 from 4 to 6 pm
Friday, August 30 from 4 to 6 pm

Limited Programming Week 2:
Tuesday, September 3 from 4 to 6 pm
Wednesday, September 4 from 4 to 6 pm
