Youth Sponsorship Club Meeting

Youth coming to a new installation often have questions concerning their new community and how it compares to what they left behind. The lack of knowledge of this new community and the apprehension of leaving friends and the familiarity of their old community makes moving a frightening experience. The Army Youth Sponsorship Club will help transitioning youth become familiar with Fort Drum and all it has to offer.
Club members are trained prior to being assigned the responsibility of sponsoring an incoming youth. Members will enhance their communication skills and leadership abilities while working with transitioning youth, creating a win-win situation. Youth Sponsorship Training will be held quarterly. Additionally, quarterly Youth Sponsorship events will be held for all eligible youth who have arrived at Fort Drum within the quarter.
The Youth Sponsorship Club can make arrangements for those youth departing Fort Drum who wish to have a sponsor in their new community.
The organizational meeting for 2018 will be held on January 25 at 4:30 pm. New members are always welcome.
