All Active-Duty and retired military, Family members aged ten and over, and civilian employees may borrow materials from the Robert C. McEwen Library. National Guard, Reservists, and TDY personnel may use the library while at Fort Drum. 

Patrons may check out books, videos and other resources. 3D Printers and computers are available for public use. Other services include printing, lamination, copying and more.

The Fort Drum School Age Center (SAC) offers a supervised, comprehensive before- and after-school program for children in grades K–5 and before school care for children in grade 6. 

School Support Services provides Army school-aged youth with educational opportunities, resources and information necessary to achieve academic success. A branch of Child & Youth Services (CYS), School Support Services features School Liaison Officers (SLOs), who help schools, installations and Families work together for student achievement.

Soldier & Family Readiness Division (SFR) has a wealth of resources for Soldiers, Families, Reservists, Retirees, and DoD Civilians. The programs offered within are designed to enhance quality of life, promote resilience and self-reliance, and provide stability during war and peace. SFR offers a place to find the type of support needed for the enhancement of both individuals and Families.

South Riva Ridge Child Development Center offers Families with children six weeks to five years old quality full-day childcare.

The Fort Drum Youth Center offers a variety of leisure, developmental, and sports programs to middle school and high school students in grades 6–12. The Youth Center provides comprehensive, supervised services with after school, weekend, and summer programs.

Membership and use of the facility are FREE for eligible youth who are registered with Child & Youth Services! 

The Fort Drum Child and Youth Services Sports & Fitness Program emphasizes safety, participation, fun and good sportsmanship. The program is designed to provide all youth the opportunity to participate, develop fundamental skills and grow in an atmosphere of sportsmanship, citizenship and teamwork.
