Swim Lessons

Community Swim Lessons

Structured swim lessons for all ages and skill levels. Participants learn water safety, basic swimming techniques, and stroke development through progressive instruction.

Active-Duty Swim Lessons

These lessons are designed specifically for active-duty soldiers only. Classes focus on water safety, skill development, and confidence in the water in a supportive environment.
Duration: As many times as preferred
Session length: 30 minutes
Instructor-to-student ratio: 1-1
Location: Magrath Pool (Lanes 7 & 8)
Curriculum Overview:
 

 American Red Cross Adult Swim Lesson Plans

  • Water acclimation & confidence
  • Basic strokes (freestyle, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, etc)
  • Survival skills (floating, treading)
  • Endurance & conditioning
  • Mission-specific drills (CWST components)

Reservation Process:

Stop into Magrath Pool or Call.

  • Reserve with any on duty lifeguard
  • Reservations may be made up to one week in advance
  • Check in at pool office upon arrival of scheduled lesson

Lesson Policies:

  • If you are late by 10 minutes or more, your reservation will be forfeited.
  • Three (3) no call/no shows will result in no booking for one (1) month from the last scheduled lesson.
  • To cancel or reschedule stop in or call.
